ICV 2024 = 69.55

The journal Challenges and Issues of Modern Science has been included for the first time in the ICI Journals Master List with an ICV 2024 = 69.55.

The ICI Journals Master List is a database of scientific journals maintained by Index Copernicus International, containing journals that have undergone an internal parametric evaluation. Journals in this database are assigned an Index Copernicus Value (ICV), which reflects the level of their scientific activity.

It is known that at the international level, the Index Copernicus International evaluation is not always recognized, and its perception among international scientific indexes, publishers, and research institutions can be inconsistent.

However, for the Ukrainian scientific community, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine takes the Index Copernicus Value (ICV) into account when calculating points for publications in journals indexed in the ICI Journals Master List. This recognition is applied in the calculation of the annual scientific rating of academic staff and in procedures for the attestation of researchers and awarding of academic degrees.

The methodology for calculating points for a publication, as applied by Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, is as follows:

Rating points = (20 + 0,25 × ICV) / A,

where A is the number of co-authors of the publication.
