Formative Factors in Terms of Retention of Specialists in the Organization and their Role in Ensuring the Proper Working Conditions

In order to ensure safe and comfortable working conditions, it is necessary to pay attention to the phenomenon of staff retention - the retention of specialists in an organization. In our country, the problem of staff retention is relatively poorly studied. The purpose of the study is to identify those psychophysiological factors in the workplace that contribute to the voluntary extension of employment relations on the part of the employee. The study also aims to promote greater protection of employees at work through the creation of appropriate working conditions. In connection with the concept of “retention,” the focus is often on keeping talented and committed employees in the organization while maximizing their skills and abilities. The retention or loss of employees can be critical to an organization and its ability to function optimally. This can be especially true in higher education institutions, where the value of an employee is determined not only by their accumulated knowledge but also by their commitment and dedication, and thus the risk of losing professionals is increased. The theoretical basis for the study was the job embedding theory and Herzberg's two-factor theory. The study also took into account the fact that respondents' self-assessment may not be reliable, as satisfaction or dissatisfaction with working conditions and environment may be associated with different conditions. The purpose of the study is to identify the factors that are crucial in shaping employees' desire to continue their employment relationship with their employer: when attractive and safe working conditions are created. To make this possible, retention is considered based on such indicators as opportunities for training and professional development in the workplace, the availability of social support from the company; the risk of getting an occupational disease, work-life balance, and the level of salary in the organization.
